Evangelism Ideas

“This video series offers simple, direct, and practical teachings to empower those in any congregation to lead others to Christ.”
- Danny Carroll, Senior Pastor, Water of Life Community Church, CA

How to Share Your Faith is one of the evangelism tools that is now being used in almost every state in the USA and in twelve countries worldwide. It has become a very effective tool for helping lost people come home to the Father. The reason for this is found in some of the evangelism ideas guiding the training.

For example, How to Share Your Faith believes that God is always at work in the lives of those around us. He is working in their mind, conscience, heart, circumstances and relationships to nudge them to turn toward Him. He wants us to cooperate with him and find out where they are on their spiritual journey. For example, when picking avocados, it is important to just jiggle the fruit to find out if it is ripe. If it is ripe, it will come off the tree easily. If not, you want to give it more time to ripen. What God wants us to do is to jiggle the fruit. As we get to know people find out where they are spiritually. Find out if they are ripe and open to God.

Another evangelism idea that guides the training comes from understanding that God wants us to be a positive influence on seekers for Christ, no matter where they are in their spiritual journey. A person’s coming to Christ is like a chain with many links. Each link represents one of the many influences and conversations that precede a person’s decision to come to Christ. You may be the first link at times, a middle link usually, and occasionally the last link when the person actually receives Christ. God has not called us to only be the last link. He has called us to be a positive influence on others for Christ, to be a link in the chain, and point them toward Christ.

Another evangelism idea that is in the DNA of the training is to understand the “red zone.” In football there is often a long battle for a team to move the ball down the field so that it is within the 20-yard line, close to the goal. Once it is within the 20-yard line, it is described as being in the “red zone.”

In evangelism seekers often have to travel a long spiritual journey before they come to Christ. But when they finally come to a place where they are open to God, sense that something is missing in their lives, and wonder if Christ can help them, they have entered the “red zone” of their spiritual journey. God wants to use us to help them cross the line of faith. Most believers do not know how to do that. That is what How to Share Your Faith is all about. It prepares believers to help seekers in the “red zone” across the line of faith.

Another evangelism idea that is critical for sharing the gospel is realizing that most non-Christians do not understand how wonderful the good news really is. They mistakenly think they have to “clean up” their lives to come to Christ. They need to understand that coming to Christ is like taking a shower. You don’t clean your body to take a shower. You take a shower to clean your body. In the same way, you do not have to clean up your life to come to Christ. You are invited to come to Christ just as you are and He will clean up your life. He will forgive you for all your sins and help you to clean your life from the inside.

If you are a pastor or Christian leader and would like to help seekers find their way to God – these evangelism ideas provide a solid understanding of how God is working and how he wants us to cooperate with him. The Personal evangelism strategy, developed by Dr. Kent Tucker, is a DVD program that consists of four, one-hour sessions. It is built upon these key evangelism ideas that help us to get in synch with what God is doing in those around us and how he wants to use us in his search for the lost.

With more than 40 years of experience in ministry as a senior pastor and associate pastor, Dr. Tucker has helped several seekers come home to the Savior and grow in their new life. He attended University California, Los Angeles (UCLA), which is where he began his ministry with Campus Crusade for Christ.
