Within just four, one-hour sessions you will learn effective evangelism ideas on how to begin spiritual conversations, how to find out if someone is open to Christ, how to present the gospel in an easy and effective way and how to lead someone across the line of faith. In addition, How to Share Your Faith covers the basics of how to respond in a positive way if someone is not receptive and how to deal with spiritual questions that may come up along the way.
Dr. Tucker also incorporates the term “red zone” as an effective evangelism teaching aid. The “red zone” is a football term used when the team has moved the ball down the field so that it is inside the 20-yard line close to the goal – close to making a touchdown.
In a similar way, seekers often have to travel a long journey before they come to faith in Christ. They often have doubts, bad experiences, intellectual questions and wounds they need to deal with before they turn to God. But once they get to the place where they are open to God, sense that there is something missing in their lives, and wonder if Christ can help them, they are in the Red Zone of their spiritual journey. It is essential that pastors and believers become aware of those who are in the Red Zone. God has brought them to the point where they are open to Him, but someone needs to explain to them how to cross the line of faith. That is what this training is all about. It is a remarkably effective outreach resource for recognizing and gently leading seekers who are in the Red Zone across the line and into a personal and eternal relationship with Christ.
Dr. Tucker has been in the ministry for more than 40 years as a senior pastor and associate pastor. While attending University California, Los Angeles (UCLA), he began leading people with church outreach resources throughout his work with Campus Crusade for Christ.
